I love being a student because I am constantly being challenged. Whether I am building something from Legos or taking apart something to figure out what makes it work. I strive to learn something new each time I do this and see if I can figure out different ways to make improvements.
Favorite Subject & Why
My favorite subject is science with a little engineering thrown in. I think these two subjects combined are amazing. I love to learn how parts connect to make a whole. I think it’s really cool how different parts can come together to make something move, light up, or solve a problem. When I learn about science, it feels like I’m solving a mystery.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
A $20,000 award would really help me reach my goals in school. I love science and a little bit of engineering, especially learning how different parts work together to make something actually function. With this money, I could join science and robotics programs, go to STEM camps, and get better materials and tools to build and experiment. Most importantly, it would help me keep exploring what I love without my family having to worry as much about the cost.
