Why They Love Being a Student

Wilder loves being a student because learning has always been his language. Before he could speak clearly, he memorized dinosaurs, habitats, and even U.S. presidents. He never stops asking “but why,” and with the right encouragement, I know he’ll grow into someone who represents the neurodivergent community with brilliance, kindness, and purpose.

Favorite Subject & Why

Wilder loves science, reading, and history because each one helps him understand the world, and he knows we shape the future best when we learn from the past.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

A $20,000 award would give Wilder opportunities I can’t provide right now after stopping work due to breast cancer. It would let him learn from experts who understand his gifted, autistic mind and help him grow into the curious, compassionate leader he’s meant to be.
