Learn MoreWhy They Love Being a Student
He loves to learn, and loves new opportunities. Advanced classes in his elementary “Reach Program”. On his own he’s continually increased his schedule and classes, 3-4 years of piano and now has transitioned to violin, music theory made that seamless. This past week when we asked him what summer camps he would be interested in he surprised us by asking if he could go to the University of Arkansas’ Engineering camp.
Favorite Subject & Why
I want to say Math because he loves solving problems. Science is pretty close, he’s just now getting to indulge in it. He loves to see how everything is interesting and interconnected. His love of science runs in his mothers family and math in his fathers family.
How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals
We certainly hope that he meets and exceeds all criteria for scholarships, but we are actively saving and planning to have funds available to him for any direction he chooses with his education. We believe that he can and will be anything that he sets his mind to. $20k could help him get into a school of choice that we may not be able to financially reach, or to use it for international studies or internships. He cannot wait to travel internationally. And did we mention he just turned 12?
