Why They Love Being a Student

Will constantly pursues knowledge whether in the classroom or out. Teachers appreciate conversations with him, and have even take the time to point out to his parents how interesting he is to talk too! He has been asked to teach a couple of specialty topics to younger classes - and other students know who to go to when they have science or WWII questions!

Favorite Subject & Why

He learns well beyond the classrooms by pursuing science related topics - whether chemistry, physics, or biology. He builds experiments in his garage at home, or disappears in thought or writing for hours trying to figure something out! He even tries to explain quantum sciences to his family and friends on a regular basis!

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

Will is highly interested in aerospace and aeronautics. He is an average learner when it comes to English and writing, but is highly advanced in the sciences and history. While a typical classical or liberal arts education has been great, the money would help us to open up new educational pathways that are more specific to his interests and talents, such as hiring a science mentor, dual enrolling with a school like Embry Riddle, or taking an educational trip to the Kennedy Space Center!
