Why They Love Being a Student

Xavier has always had a love of learning because he’s always wanted to understand how the world works. He recognizes the importance of education and learning in the role it plays to create a better society for everyone. For him, learning opens doors to creating positive change by understanding where humankind knowledge started, where it is, and the new horizons yet to be explored. He focuses learning around how he can contribute to creating a future where humans and nature are cared for.

Favorite Subject & Why

His tied favorite subjects are social studies and science. He loves social studies because he enjoys learning about history and how learning about the details of our past can be used as lessons to guide in future decisions. He loves science because it’s a subject that builds upon itself each year and helps to answer the “why?” questions. “Why is the sky blue?”, etc. He also thinks science is just “fun”!

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

Xavier has a variety of interests. He’s a Scout that wants to take agriculture in H.S., but also all the AP classes he can. In scouting, he’s eagerly awaited being old enough to take leadership courses and be eligible for high adventure camps. He’s constantly reading college level books, so his appetite for knowledge is bottomless. We want Xavier to never be limited in his academic pursuits and the $20,000 would help to ensure his imagination and ambition are the primary drivers for his future.
