Why They Love Being a Student

Xayn is a multicultural student of the world. He was born in South Korea to an Indian Mother and American Father. Being a military child, he has also lived in Georgia, Germany, and Kentucky. Family, friendship, and community is very important to Xayn - he loves talking about his experiences, observations, and the world around him. He wants to know the "how's, why's, what-if's'" on various topics, and will continue to ask questions until he is satisfied with the answer.

Favorite Subject & Why

Xayn's favorite subject is Science (though he might say recess if you ask him). He is fascinated by extreme weather, dinosaurs, plate tectonics, all things space, and what goes on in the microscopic realms. Xayn's gears are always grinding, which makes for a great conversationalist (unless you are running low on coffee) and can go from asking about insulin spikes to singing about farts to death to planets in one go.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

Xayn approaches life with genuine curiosity rather than simply going through the motions. His personality, experiences as a military child, his challenges, and strengths complements his deep compassion toward the world and people around him. Xayn wants to travel - this award would support his educational journey in the form of exploring different places and cultures.
