Why They Love Being a Student

Zander wakes up every morning with a new burning question about how our world works. Often times, before I’ve even had my first sip of coffee, my son likes to hit me with a question regarding complex inter workings of science principles or breakdown of how mechanisms work. He is always curious and ready to explore the how and why - even when his mother is not fully awake enough in the morning to provide a well-informed backed by research response.

Favorite Subject & Why

Zander is a STEM kid and lights up when exploring area in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. He loves hands on problems he can tackle using the science method. He has truly enjoyed approaching real work problems through scientific investigation, working with experts in the field of engineering, research, and presenting his findings to judges and fellow scientists.

How $20,000 Would Support Their Goals

Zander’s excitement exploring STEM and developing strong critical thinking skills was hugely supported by some truly great mentors and teachers with expertise in the fields of STEM. We have encouraged our son to inquire and to seek out those answers from the very scientists and engineers that live and breathe those scientific principles. For continued growth, Zander would love the opportunity to learn from leading experts around the world in STEM via seminars, camps/workshops, and internships.
